Privacy Policy

How we handle your personal information under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Last updated: 8 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Almin Projects (Pty) Ltd ("Almin Projects", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit www.almin.co.za or contact us. We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

1. Who is responsible for your information

Almin Projects (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party. Our head office and workshop are at 92 Dawes Street, East End, Rustenburg, 0299, South Africa. You can reach our Information Officer using the details in section 11.

2. The information we collect

  • Information you give us — when you complete our contact form or email us: your name, email address, phone number, the department or service you are interested in, and the contents of your message.
  • Technical and usage information — collected automatically as you browse: your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and similar analytics data gathered through cookies and comparable technologies.
  • Advertising identifiers — where you reach us from a Google Ads advertisement, we record the Google click identifier (gclid) and campaign parameters (UTMs) so we can understand which marketing brings genuine enquiries.

We do not knowingly collect special personal information or the personal information of children through this website.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide quotes and services you request;
  • To operate, secure and improve this website;
  • To measure how our website and advertising perform, and to improve them; and
  • To keep records and meet legal, regulatory and safety obligations relevant to our work.

4. Our lawful basis (POPIA)

We process your information because it is necessary to respond to and pursue your enquiry, to pursue our legitimate business interests in a balanced way, and to comply with the law. For website analytics and advertising cookies we rely on an implied-consent (notice and opt-out) model: we display a clear notice, optional cookies are active by default, and you may opt out at any time as described in section 8. Continuing to use the site after seeing the notice indicates your agreement.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential — needed for the site to function and to remember that you have seen our cookie notice.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4) — helps us understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
  • Advertising (Google Ads) — helps us measure the results of our advertising and, where enabled, show relevant ads.

We use Google Consent Mode to manage how these tags behave. Where you submit an enquiry, we may use Google's enhanced conversions feature, which sends Google a hashed (irreversibly scrambled) version of your email address or phone number so that a lead can be matched to an ad click. Hashing means Google does not receive your details in readable form.

6. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers (operators) who act on our instructions — including our website host (xneelo), our email provider, and Google (Analytics and Ads);
  • Synergy Consilium (Pty) Ltd, which maintains this website and supports our quality management on our behalf, under a confidentiality obligation; and
  • Authorities or advisors where we are required or permitted to do so by law.

7. Cross-border transfers

Some of our service providers (for example Google) process information on servers outside South Africa. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps, consistent with section 72 of POPIA, to ensure your information is protected by comparable safeguards.

8. How to opt out

You can opt out of optional (analytics and advertising) cookies at any time by:

Essential cookies cannot be switched off, as the site cannot function without them.

9. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings and then deleted or aggregated.

10. Your rights

Subject to POPIA, you have the right to ask us to:

  • confirm what personal information we hold about you and provide access to it;
  • correct or update information that is inaccurate or out of date;
  • delete information where we are no longer entitled to keep it; and
  • object to processing in certain circumstances.

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Information Officer (section 11). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (section 12).
